Summitview Community Church has provided an e-giving site as a service for those who prefer to give using a bank account withdrawal or credit/debit card.

We do want to make you aware that Summitview is charged a small fee for a bank account withdrawal and a larger fee for the use of a credit/debit card. Summitview is only charged a fee of 20 cents to 50 cents (quantity dependent) for bank account withdrawal transactions. Summitview is charged a 2.5% fee of the contribution amount plus an additional 25 cent fee per transaction for credit/debit card transactions. Each credit card company establishes their own rate structures so this rate may vary slightly subject to the current fee structure of your specific credit card Company. Credit cards available are: Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. Even though Summitview is charged a fee for your bank account withdrawal or credit card contribution, your giving statement will show your total contribution without any fees subtracted. We consider these fees as the responsibility of Summitview Community church in providing this online giving service.

Examples of charges:
For a $100 donation:
$100 X 2.5% = $2.50 charge
25 cents transaction charge
Total charge to Summitview = $2.75
$97.25 goes to church after Summitview pays for fees.

For a $1000 donation:
$974.75 goes to church after Summitview pays for fees.

In light of the additional fees charged for credit card and bank account withdrawal transactions, personal checks are preferable for your tithes and offerings to Summitview. Yet, we also understand that there are times when giving online is beneficial to the contributor (allows online giving when you are out of town, credit card giving may be beneficial to you for cash flow purposes, etc.) Our belief is if e-giving helps people be more faithful in giving, it is better if they use this service than not giving at all.
