Summitview Community Church
A Church For Every Generation
On November 5-12, 2005 nineteen people were able to make a second trip to Louisiana. Although much had been cleaned up since the September trips, much of the work was the same.
On Monday, Septemeber 19th, 39 people from all seasons of life and representing Summitview Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley left for Slidell, LA. While there we teamed up with First Baptist Church of Slidell to assist with distributing supplies to the evacuees, helping people in the community clean out their flooded houses and remove downed trees, as well as helping the church with clean-up on their property. During the summer of 2005 several of our Rock students teamed up with some community people from one of our sister churches in the Denver area to share the love of Christ in Ireland.
A team of 14 went to Bangalore, India, January 4-17, to share Christ's love. Many of our plans were changed due to the Tsunami, but we were able to encourage the orphans and staff at Christ Compassion Trust and share the Gospel in the beach town of Goa.
