Summitview Community Church
A Church For Every Generation
Summitview Community Church is committed to providing
excellent and dynamic children's programs for children in nursery through sixth
grade. We strive to have our Children's Ministry be one of the best programs for
kids in the city. We want children to be able to learn the life-guiding
principles of the Bible in a fun, caring, and safe environment. Our goal is to
make Sunday school classes an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all the
children who may attend each Sunday. We desire that our classes meet the needs
of all children at any stage in their relationship with Christ. We believe that
parents are ultimately responsible for the spiritual training of their children
and we want to help support them in that responsibility by helping their
children learn the Bible and grow in their personal relationship with
Christ.
It is important for children to develop a spiritual foundation! That's why we work hard to help kids enjoy their church experience at Summitview. Our children's programs incorporate crafts, games, and fun lessons to communicate God's truth in ways that impact kids beyond Sunday. You are free to keep your children with you in the service if you prefer. The following information is provided to familiarize you with the logistics of children's ministry at Summitview.
Mom's Room - this room is for nursing moms. It is quiet and comfortable and includes a closed circuit broadcast of the Sunday service. Moms only please. Nursery through 2.5 year old classes are offered from 9:45am to 11:30am. Parents can drop off their children before the service or at the mid-service break. Parents, please come to your child's classroom as soon as the service concludes to pick up your child. 3 yr old through 6th grade classes are offered from 10:40am 11:30am. Parents can drop off their children at the mid-service break. All children need to be picked up by their parents at their classroom as soon as the service concludes.

If the chief end of man is to glorify God, then the chief end of child training is also to glorify God (and He is glorified in the child's affections, the child's obedience and the adult's faithfulness to disciple the child). To Be Told is in association with Discipleland , the curriculum we use here at Summitview. This year's conference with be August 23rd, 2008. Check back in May 2008 for more details.

Be a part of the madness! Can you imagine your child reciting 10 Bible verses from memory? What about 20? How about 100? Kids are doing just that in Memory Madness! Check out the table in the Gym on Sunday for more information and to get started.
