In Brief

We believe that the heart of every Christian parent is to see their children walk faithfully and sincerely with the Lord. As we come together on Sunday mornings and throughout the week we have an opportunity to invest in the coming generation, and Catalyst exists in order to make the most of that opportunity by supporting parent-led discipleship in our homes and during our times together on Sunday mornings.

On Sunday Morning

Parents at Summitview (with the support of our entire church family) lead out to provide challenging and dynamic children’s programs for children (infants through fifth graders). Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and fun environment where kids connect with the truths of God and His Word. Our programs incorporate interactive lessons from God's Word and activities to communicate God’s truth in ways that impact kids beyond Sunday morning.

Please stop by the Information table in the lobby to ask questions, get directions, and register your child for their classroom.

Nursery through 2 year old rooms: these rooms are open to take children prior to the service and/or during the mid-service break. All other classrooms will open during the break.

Middle School: Our Exchange Zone youth group (for 6th-8th grade) meets during the service in the Upper Room for a teaching and discussion after worship in the main auditorium.

Mom’s Room: Nursing moms only, please. The Mom's Room is located in our nursery area. This room is quiet and comfortable and includes a closed circuit broadcast of the service.

Our Vision for Families

Here at Summitview we believe that God gives the primary responsibility for the spiritual upbringing of a child to his/her parents (Deuteronomy 6:1-7, Psalm 78:4). This can seem like a daunting task at first, but God doesn’t ask us to do something that He isn’t going to equip us to do. That’s why our heart is to come alongside parents on this journey to help equip, train, support, encourage, and provide resources and tools for the journey. One of the primary tools we use is small groups through Generation Transformation. God’s word is full of help for parents and here is where we get to live it out together. Parents are applying Biblical practices and Gospel-centered motives in training, educating, and discipling their children (Proverbs 22:6, Proverbs 23:13-14, Psalm 127:3-5, Ephesians 6:1-4). Catalyst Children's Ministry is how we live this out together on Sunday mornings.
